The Mysterious Stranger At The Bar
A man walks into a bar.
He observes the vibrant energy of the room, musicians where on stage playing; the dance floor was packed; people sat together in couples and large parties eating food; smiling and laughing together.
However the man noticed a mysterious stranger at the bar by himself, his energy was opposite to the room.
He sat sulking to himself as he poured and downed shots of whiskey.
The man approached the mysterious stranger and said “Hello my friend, what is your name?” The mysterious stranger half glanced in the man’s direction and replied “you would not believe me if I told you.”
The man laughed and took a seat next to him.
“You would be surprised at what I believe” the man said.
“Do you believe that this place use to be mine! I was the life of this party! Beautiful women would gather around me and I would tell magnificent stories! They all adored me!”The mysterious stranger said with a slight smile as he reminisced.
“They look like they are doing well without you” says the man.
“Well!” Exclaimed the mysterious stranger. “These people have forgotten their roots, they have no culture.”
“You sound bitter” says the man.
“What did you just say?” The mysterious stranger said aggressively.
“My name is The Devil” he says in a menacing voice. Trying to intimidate the man.
But the man unfazed replied.
“No it is not, that’s the name they gave you. It’s a shame you don’t remember the one I did, and this was never your bar your just a regular like everyone else.”
The strangers eyes widen with astonishment and finally looks up at the person he’s been speaking to, to see that he has vanished.
